No SHADES UNSEEn
No Shades Unseen portrays young women and girls with albinism in Tanzania.
In many parts of Africa, people with albinism still face stigma and exclusion – with girls and young women often especially affected.
For the photos, each girl chose her favorite dress – often handmade – and stood before the camera with joy and quiet confidence. The series celebrates their inner strength and embraces diversity not as a deviation, but as an essential part of being human.
The portraits were taken at the inclusive Irente School for the Blind in the Usambara Mountains.
